Some songs could've been leftovers from NFS: Payback, but I am positive 90 percent of all of these tracks were supposed to be included in Heat, but due to licensing or whatever, were cut. Pretty disappointing, especially considering just how repetitive the final tracklist turned out. Anyway, you can easily just check this yourself by launching the game and checking the memory with something like HxD.

There might've been a few tracks I missed, as the way these names are shown in the memory makes finding track names a very daunting process.

BECAUSE THEY'RE INSANE!!

Why on earth does every single police prompt have to go right in the middle of the screen?! You know, covering up the road in driving on. Preventing me from seeing turns, incoming cars, and even Rhinos!

I don't care that a cop car just got destroyed. I kind of want to see when that corner is coming up so I don't crash into a building!

It's a driving game, and every time the prompt comes up, it basically runs the point of the game, because now you can't drive!

Then there's the map. The icons are so big that you can't see anything on the minimap. If you're in an area with multiple races, the map is just all icons.

What's worse, is that they decided to pick red for the race colour icon at night. I was once driving to a High Heat 5 race, got there safely, but because there were 5 races in the tiny area, I didn't see the cop car sitting there. Because of course, all the red icons hid the red icon of the cop car. Needless to say, I got so pissed off, I just ended the night without doing the race.

So frustrating. These things are so annoying, and I have no idea how no one testing the game thought of this.

Also... Map icons should be able to be toggled on and off. I don't need to see collectibles that I've already found. It is once again just adding clutter!

Matte Decals randomly getting a glossy outline in the Livery Editor

As title says, this is an infuriating bug I've been suffering from since release.

What happens is that decals with reduced glossiness will randomly be displayed with a fully glossy outline when too many decals are applied to sometimes completely separate parts of the car.

As you can see here, the car's left front fender has this glossy outline being displayed around one of the shapes contouring it after the "fatlace" decal got applied to the hood. This is despite the car not having reached half of the decal cap, thus making it unlikely that it's simply the game not being able to process complex amounts of layers.

A few more points about that bug:

The issue isn't limited to the livery editor and, if not handled by removing decals until it goes away, will be displayed in the garage and while driving both in the open world and in races.
While not always affecting the topmost decal of an area, it always does affect the topmost layer of arbitrary groups of decals. If I went and reorganized the ones composing that fender, the topmost one would be the one getting the outline.
There seems to be a priority between areas regarding which ones can cause others to be affected. Adding layers to the right fender causes the issue on the left, but not the other way around. Adding layers to the side windows makes the issue appear on the left fender, but adding some to the front window doesn't, etc.
Those outlines sometimes appear on an area of the car while you're working on another and disappear once you go back to selecting an area to work on. This is usually indicative of you nearing the amount of decals necessary for the bug to actually stick.

This is only one of the many bugs I've encountered (including but not limited to gradients being more or less opaque depending on the bumper they're applied on or text stickers appearing blurry depending on the amount of stickers applied to the other side of the car) but it is by far the most annoying one I've had the displeasure to face.

Has anyone else encountered this while working on their liveries? Did you happen to find a solution, or at least a workaround that isn't simply to limit yourself when working on liveries?

SPEEDTALK | Ideas for The League / Street Leagues / Race Gangs

Instead of surrounding Ghost / EA and jackin' your lil peckin', let's have some quality discussion, shall we?

Imagine this scenario in Heat: after your first night race, Ana takes you to the meet-up spot and several crews are lining up their cars, side-by-side. She introduces you to the prominent crews, like the boomers with their chromed-out classic muscles, the Vietnamese and their silver-burgundy JDMs, the latinas in their slammed Camaros with Chicano livery.

Then The League shows up, with a stock orange Golf GTI leading the pack.

Upon asking what's the big deal with that Golf guy, Ana tries to not getting hyped: "he was once scored two billions bounty and escape in a pursuit marathon. He is Kuru Hoyabembe-Shaquille - better known as KuruHS ^{pls dont ban me from twitch finna donate love u kuru}."

Some times after that faithful night, you're facing against the boomers in the Showdown. As you climb the rank, you'll see fewer boomers competing with you and more of the Vietnamese with their JDMs. Then in the semi-final you face a boomer, two Vietnamese, one latina, and two sharp-dressed men in their blue-yellow BMWs.

You see, while the world itself isn't a problem, the lack of legit racing gang in Heat throws me a little bit. Mainly because we as a human being are tend to be tribalist: we hang with people that shares our values, we gather in events that has our interests, etc.

TL;DR: let's talk about how to create great racing gangs / street crews / whatever.

The Idea - Tokyo Xtreme Racer

I like the idea of different street racing gangs ala Tokyo Xtreme Racer (especially 3 because it has cool backstory) in which people form different groups based on their philosophy of "what's the best style of street racing." Take examples of a gang made of AE86s, a gang of college kids with RX-7s because of how versatile rotary brappers are, a gang made of new-age religion which wrap their feet with special tapes so their divine being blessed them during races.

(funny thing is where I live, we have a saying "the faster you speeding, the closer you are to God")

Each philosophy creates an identity for each team that is unmistakable from the rest of the racing gangs, and it goes deeper as each member also has their own different background and their individual philosophy, even it many of them are one-dimensional. Take that RX-7 uni kids - the leader is distant from his gang, his second-in-command gave up on him, few threatened to leave, etc.

The Idea - NFS ProStreet

Heyyyy it's the most underrated NFS title ever, with cool visuals and cool music and such~

Unlike Underground series, ProStreet has this timeless charm that is still stand today as the most stylish NFS ever (according to this sub, KuruHS, StraightUpHippo) with each and every racer has their own "personality" based on their car livery alone: the versatile Bound Dynamics with their bouncy dots, BoxCut with stripes and tribals representing what they do best, Apex Glide with their stars and dragons because they are THE prima donna and THE ultimate team of ProStreet (dragons are the lord of heaven in Japanese and Korean mythology).

And the best part is? They don't have to show any of the racers physically: their livery speaks for their personality. ^{I'd rather have them appear physically but for the sake of my argument let's just skip them.}

My idea: Appropriating One Percent Club

To create the idea of the ideal street league, I'm gonna use the Supreme Fuccboi Club from Payback, by adjusting a theme for their color scheme (black / red / white) and general livery design (clean, curvy lines with obnoxious colors), as well as their own car type (supercars)

The cars are limited to current Heat roster for the sake of simplicity. Feel free to suggest your own!

Core Identity (copy + slightly edited from NFS Fandom)

One Percent Club (stylized as The 1% Club) is a Street League that appears in Need For Speed Heat. They are a tier 3 race street league that can be found in Eden Shores.

Founded by a group of internet rich brats and celebutantes with too much money and clout to care, application is limited to member with a minimum of one million followers in Autolog and cars worth two hundred thousand dollars at minimum.

The team can be identified with their black and red supercars and curvy livery design, alluring to real life NBA team Miami Heat.

Natalia Nova - Pagani Huayra BC (black / white / red) - the leader of One Percent Club that sold out to make a fortune online. She's known for having a nip slip during the Outlaw's Rush qualifier against Tyler Morgan, before getting eliminated.
Anastasia - Aston Martin DB11 (red / black stripes) - second in command of One Percent Club that seems to have a falling out with Natalia Nova for actually having a brain.
De'Aaron - Lamborghini Huracan (matte black / maroon) - known as ComedyShortsGamer, he is the brother of Deji "KSI" and does not play video game, nor making comedy, but at least the middle part is true.
Jacksepticeye - 2017 Ford GT (white / red) - Jacksepticeye is a Minecraft YouTuber who has branched out from his usual Minecraft gameplay, and is now a member of One Percent Club thanks to his affiliation with Natalia Nova. He likes to block during race.
Evangeline - Ferrari 488 GTB (blue / red / white) - Despite having the smallest followers among her street league, Evangeline is still granted a membership thanks to her rabid fans who donated ridiculous sum on OnlyFans. While she's a competent driver, she likes to show off more than following the racing line.
Jesse Wellens - Nissan GT-R (black / red details) - after a messy breakup, Jesse becomes more prone to risky behavior and so he joined One Percent Club to satisfy his dangerous impulse.
Lindsay - Audi R8 (red / white / black) - Lindsay is a former Disney princess who turned to the dark side with powder nose and shieeet. The only thing more reckless than her driving is her lifestyle.
Shmee3000 - McLaren P1 (shmee blue / white / black) - hi guys I'm Shmee and this is my latest acquisition! Ooooh look at that paint job!

In conclusion
