You know I don't really get the hate for the remaster Posted: 06 Nov 2020 07:02 PM PST Yeah HP2010 was a game that looked so good for it's time it didn't even really need a remaster but tbh any improvements visually are welcome no matter how much you need to look closely to see it. Improvement is improvement. Game still has unrealistic brake to drift physics but hey I play NFS to turn my brain off. Main thing I loved was that as soon as I booted the game up and jumped into my first multiplayer session, I won a match. Was the first time in years that I'd played this game in either the original or remastered form, and won. It felt good because this game has a more competitive nature in comparison to recent NFS games that have forgone this in favor of pursuing a more casual and laid back multiplayer free roam experience or the speedlists system which I didn't like much because it felt more like an itinerary of events to play so to speak. It doesn't have customization outside of custom colors for cars, and graphically it's hard to notice the improvements if you squint at it, but it's brought new life back to this game's multiplayer which I enjoyed so much and made so many memories with, and I'm going to be very happy to make new memories with this remaster. When it comes down to it, being the competitive person I am, I didn't enjoy other games as much as I did this one simply because I liked constantly trying to set new personal bests and playing against other people who also want to win in matches. NFS Heat story..... (spoilers inside) Posted: 06 Nov 2020 02:38 PM PST Okay so... I knew it was short before going in, but.... a few hours in I was at this typical point in the story where Torres becomes the main villain, you enter the league, you start getting the good cars, so I thought, ok this is indeed kinda short, already at 30-40% of the story, yikes! Atleast it's kinda interesting. And then... "Thanks for playing!" ???????????????????????????? WAT Nobody told me this was episode 1 of 5! Reeeeeeeeeee [link] [comments]

Regarding the Remaster (Question) Posted: 06 Nov 2020 10:32 PM PST Is there really no option for a manual, even if it's just sequential? Really blows if so [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Nov 2020 04:10 PM PST Eddie's Nissan Skyline R34 was Introduced in Need For Speed Underground. On Need For Speed Reboot in 2015 the Return of Eddie's Nissan Skyline R34 returned but it wasn't the same as Underground for example Body kit Exhaust and Sponsors On NFS Payback it was same thing as 2015 On NFS Heat everything about it on Heat they got everything correctly part from the Exhaust [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Nov 2020 09:49 PM PST Is nfs heat gonna get graphical boost like 4k 60 on next gen consoles or is it gonna look the same as current gen ? [link] [comments]
Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered - am I missing something? Posted: 06 Nov 2020 05:19 PM PST Yesterday Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered finally came out. Was pretty excited when the teaser first hit, brought back some great memories, so I pre-ordered the game. I expected some visual improvements and updates here and there and all the DLC cars from the past as standard. Those expectations were fulfilled, but... The remaster leaves a bitter sweet taste in my mouth. The game is fun, don't get me wrong, it's just that I was unpleasantly surprised a bit. Firstly, the game doesn't run smoothly, atleast for me, for whatever reason. What I mean by that is that the updated menus and the new animations that were added in like the grid map doesn't seem to tansition smoothly, but lags and loads instead. Is it some kind of optimization issue? Second, the licensing issues - some of the cars are gone (Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 and Stirling Moss and the Carbon E7) or have been altered (Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia) and I don't understand why. Well, ok, Carbon Motors is defunct, so there's that, but why are the Mercedes gone? Can someone, please, explain this to me? Who owns those two cars, if not Mercedes-Benz? I know McLaren Automotive and Mercedes-Benz have no relation anymore (well, atleast till the end of 2020), but both brands are in the game... Also the Italian police Lamborghini as a car is out of date and probably had some kind of licensing attached to it or laws have changed on what comes down to real life liveries of police cars, I don't know. The change itself doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the livery that has replaced that classic. It's very poorly done. Firstly the design itself is really underwhelming, but secondly the quality/resolution of the decals are very poor. Also it appears that something light in colour is bleeding through the new dark blue paint around the sharp edges and the panel gaps of the car, which I assume is the old Polizia livery. Third, the additions to the remaster. Some of them are senseless, some are great, but have been executed not as well and some lack there of. One of the most prominent ones is the grid map that shows in the career campaign. Why is it necessary? It only prolongs the load time. There other one is the addition of this exquisite showroom like parking lot background for the racers. I don't dislike it by design, but there lacks contrast between it and the cars. I much prefer the old blacked out background, which gave this ominous atmosphere and made the car colours pop. One addition I was very pleased about is the custom paint jobs - they are limited, but it's a very welcomed addtion nonetheless. However, it appears that the lighting of these customs are a bit off in the gameplay. Like the paint is couple of shades darker than it actually is. Like there's a big shadow surrounding the car at the back, sucking the life out of colours. Haven't played around with the settings of the game, so why is that? And finally, whats with the car specs? Are they protected by the respective automotive companies too? I'm just curious. Why are the 370Zs, GT-R SpecV, MP4-12C and others still ''classified" after 10 years? Back in 2010 some of them like the MP4-12C and the 370Z just hit the scene and probably didn't have all the data yet, but now it's all available. Why not update that, if the people, who worked on this project, went out and upgraded the visuals, remade the graphics and the background. Aren't the remasters about improving the game technically and polishing some details here and there along the way, if it can be fixed? Why does this remaster seem a bit rushed or not fully finished? What happened? I may sound like a whiner here and complain about stuff that may not be important to some, but I'm just here pointing out my personal issues with the remaster (while I do appreciate the work and time that's been put into it to revive this game for one last time) and asking why some decisions that were made, were made. Posted: 06 Nov 2020 04:59 AM PST The audio in my game is all crackly and distorted every so often, i thought it was just my headset but a friend reported it was doing exactly the same for them. Is anyone else getting an issue similar to this? [link] [comments]
Payback: M3 E30 vs M4 GTS vs M5 for speedlists Posted: 06 Nov 2020 08:24 PM PST I've been playing payback since it was free and was wondering which of these BMW's is best for speedlist races. I've heard the E30 is very good fully upgraded, I've heard mixed things about the M4. I was also wondering about the M5 as I've heard it's one of the best runner cars in the game, but would it be good for speedlists? Or is it just good at smashing cop cars? [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Nov 2020 08:23 PM PST Anyone else getting pretty nasty audio crackle/ fairly often, especially when there are a lot of overlapping sounds? If I vaguely remember this was an issue in the original too but I don't recall it being quite this common. [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Nov 2020 08:17 PM PST Is there no ability to switch profiles from within the game itself? I feel like this is such a basic feature for any game and I cannot find that ability anywhere. My wife and I like to play together and ended up swapping profiles at the dashboard and now somehow all my profiles course records reflect her gamer picture but my gamer tag. Now we force close the game completely to swap profiles but it's tedious. Am I missing an option in game somewhere? [link] [comments] |
