Appearantly, in NFS 2015(16) if you cruisea at around 5-25 mp/h with the cinematic camera, the camera will shake and rotate around the car.

This is no doubt the best NFS in years. But where’s the content? By this time during NFS 2015 we had TWO content updates already. We haven’t had any nor communication from the Devs.

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 02:49 AM PST

There's no endgame, no speedlists, no milestone challenges for police (Cost to state, Cop Takedowns, Bounty), no autolog speedwall. PVP is nonexistent, since the game has released I've only had ONE server where 11 randoms joined a race a few times. It was amazing but the odds of that being a regular occurrence unless you invite a bunch of people is Zerooo. It's usually one person joining and then leaving after 10 seconds, you might be lucky to get 3. I'm tired of racing Bots and beating them by miles. This game is already amazing but we are in desperate need of things to do. I understand there's a lot to be done but we at least need communication.

Wish we had K.S kits like this in heat, or maybe bring back super builds to make it possible!

[MEGAPOST] Things Ghost needs to add and fix in Heat.

[MEGAPOST] Things Ghost needs to add and fix in Heat.

Heat has been fun so far and is the best NFS game for the entire 8th generation of consoles, no doubt about it.

However, it is not perfect in any way, shape, or form. In some cases, it does some stuff worse than its predecessors.

    THINGS TO NOTE FIRST:
PLATFORM: Xbox One S. Thus, some things may not represent the PlayStation 4, PC, OG Xbox One and Xbox One X.
PROGRESS: At this point I am 100% complete with game - story is done, Driving Stories all finished, crew is up to level 50, all collectibles and activities are done, and I am on level 50 rep.

Without further ado, let's get right to it.

    GARAGE

What you first see when you enter the game proper.

The garage looks great, is well lit, and the cars are placed in a manner where they can be visibly seen at all times. However, an interesting note here is that the game lends us an entirely different garage midway: the one in North Cloudbank (or more accurately, in Rockville), where it is dark, there isn't much in it, and it gives off an entirely different atmosphere. That garage was also unique in the fact that it allowed underglow to be visibly seen while customizing the car, something not present in the Rivera Garage. A button to switch between the two, perhaps?

    VEHICLE CUSTOMIZATION

While it's nice having some parts being more compatible with others, not having new ones is a big let down.

Largely unchanged from 2015 and Payback, the customization system is great. However, it isn't without fault - the biggest one being no new parts for not-new-to-the-franchise cars.

Cars like the Nissan GT-R Premium, Mazda RX-7, Subaru BRZ, and more have a huge aftermarket following, but despite the cars being updated as late as this year (which explains the newfound part compatibilities of some cars), no new parts have been added for any of them. Since 2015, the following parts can be made available for the following cars with brands already licensed in-game, alongside with some I can suggest:

    NISSAN GT-R PREMIUM
    - LB Works Type 2
    + bigger wheel size

    NISSAN SKYLINE GT-R (R32)
    - Rocket Bunny/Pandem Widebody

    SUBARU BRZ PREMIUM
    - Rocket Bunny V3
    - Liberty Walk Widebody

    MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION IX MR
    - Varis Time Attack (this is technically for the Evo VIII but their body styles are similar so it should be fine grafting it in)
    - Lancer Evolution VIII front swap (you can technically do this with the Varis front bumper, but it has carbon side vents and it doesn't have the center divider on the grille) + stock wheels

    MAZDA RX-7 SPIRIT R
    - BN Sports (this has been licensed for No Limits, surely it could be licensed to be in Heat)

    LAMBORGHINI HURACAN
    - LB Silhouette Works

    AUDI R8 V10 PERFORMANCE
    - Prior Design

    BMW M4
    - Duke Dynamics Widebody V2
    - M4 GTS spoiler, front splitter, and hood

    NISSAN SKYLINE GT-R (R34)
    - C-West

    DODGE CHALLENGER SRT8
    - Hellcat vent lights (for Hellcat/Prior Design front swap)
    - 2018/2019 Hellcat, Redeye, and Demon widebody, hood, and stock wheels
    + bigger wheel size

    NISSAN 350Z
    - Spirit Rei widebody
+ allow us to equip the Duraflex bodykit seen on Ana's car

    MCLAREN 570S
    - Prior Design
    - Vorsteiner

    BMW I8
    - Liberty Walk

    BMW M3 EVOLUTION II (E30)
    - Live to Offend

    FORD MUSTANG GT
    - Liberty Walk

    MAZDA MX-5 (NA)
    - Rocket Bunny

    HONDA S2000
    - Rocket Bunny/Pandem

    NISSAN 370Z
    - Varis Widebody

    NISSAN SILVIA SPEC-R AERO
    - LED taillights
    - V-turismo/V-aero kit

    PORSCHE 718 CAYMAN GTS
    - Rocket Bunny/Pandem widebody (if they were able to graft the Cayman GT4 parts into the 718 they could theoretically graft the kit to it...)

    SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI (2006)
    - Blobeye/Bugeye conversion kit

Some cars also have missing customization. The Lamborghini Huracan, for instance, lacks the Liberty Walk diffuser/rear bumper (that you can equip in Studio, though an error message will popup if you try to import it), or any diffuser in general. Some customization options are oddly missing in the full game but present in Heat Studio (which you can actually import in-game), such as the roof of the Corvette ZR1 and the GT3 rear glass cover of the 488 GTB.

    Also, the wheels.

These bronze/golden Vorsteiners look great on a black 370Z Nismo.

There needs to be more wheel options, especially for the muscle car crowd. Cragars as seen on Papi's Camaro should be available to install. And maybe give us some Enkei wheels considering it's present in the wrap editor?

    WRAP EDITOR

I see an Enkei logo but no Enkei wheels...

Although it's reputed for being more accessible as compared to Forza's, there are some things that it fails to do.

Grouping decals is one. You should be able to move a big bunch of decals around without having to go back to them one by one.

Some mapping on some cars are out of whack as well. There's a small glitch with the M4 Convertible with the Duke Dynamics skirt on the left side where it would duplicate itself on the skirt or will only partially show up.

What's also in are more decals of street brands rather than automotive. I swear there are more FLGNTLT decals than there are of actual aftermarket brands. Falken was omitted too, yet there's a Falken-themed F-Type AI car.

Some decals also are still missing from NFS 2015 despite the fact that no licensing issues could possibly get in the way of importing them. Examples include the Apex Glide dragon and the Bushido logo.

Some decals are also present in Heat Studio but absent in the full game, notably the No Limits ones (Blackridge Spirit, Razor's Return, etc.). You could still import them, though.

There should be a system similar to Gran Turismo Sport where you could upload photos of decals and apply them to your car, provided it passes the code of conduct. This could make the missing decals a non-issue and would probably ease Ghost of seeing missing decal complaints.

    STANCING YOUR CAR

    This Giulia is perrrrfect.

Oh boy. There should be a setting where equipping bags can affect the fitment sliders you could adjust with your car. That's a win-win situation: Ghost won't have to worry about clipping too much while people can enjoy wider track widths on stock fenders.

    LEGACY CARS AND UNOBTAINABLE KITS

Rachel's 350Z is nice to drive around in.

The legacy cars are awesome. They're nearly 100% accurate in model (it's usually the wheels and minor nitpicky details missing) and they have the accurate liveries and colors to go alongside them. However, these kits should be available to be equipped by the players in some form or another. The details such as taillights, interior design, and trunk audio may stay with them for them to be more unique and worth it, but the kits themselves should be optioned for the base models. I could say the same for M3 GTR wheels, they should be at least be applicable to the base M3 E46.

Some legacy cars and kits should also return to Heat. If they did it with the Evo X and 370Z kits from The Run, why not do the same for the other cars? There's Ryo's Evo X from ProStreet with the Stratospeed widebody, to start off. Or maybe even Kenji's RX-7 or Evo IX from Carbon. There's a lot to choose from. Ghost should recognize some of these kits still look good even with today's standards.

Also, some kits and options need to be present in the current cars. There's the K.S. kit from Joe's Polestar, for example. We should have some way to obtain that, or at least the car itself. A new Driving Story strand wouldn't hurt, honestly.

The cover car that drowned in the sea.

Or maybe even the blower from Papi's Camaro. We want them in muscle cars.

    PERFORMANCE MODS

Some engines should be available for other cars, and some options should be available to others as well. Why can't we put the Q60S engine into the 350Z? Why is it that the Challenger also has a really long 6th gear, with no 7 or 8 gear options to rectify it?

    Race-tuned 350Z.

    THE OVERPOWERED CARS

The 911 RSR has to be nerfed, one way or another.

It's frustrating how even after 4 years since NFS 2015, the Porsche 911 RSR still remains king as the most overpowered car. Light body, easy steering, and the power you can get from swapping it with the Ford Raptor EcoBoost V6 makes it unstoppable. The cars need to be rebalanced and tweaked to stop them from always dominating leaderboards and online races.

Frankly enough, this OP thing is mostly present on cars present since 2015, with the Mitsubishi Evo IX and Mazda MX-5 (NA) trailing behind.

    THE KHYZYL SALEEM EDITION CARS

The Xbox variant of the K.S. Edition Evo X. I just wanna custom wrap it though.

I always get envious of the custom-wrapped K.S. Corvette that sometimes spawns in races. How come we don't get to wrap ours? Or at least change the license plate? I'd be happy if the K.S. cars at least comes in with customization options similar to some other cars: no body panel changing, just the wheels, plate, tint, and wrap.

    THE DAYTIME ATMOSPHERE

Tons of ProStreet and Horizon Festival vibes here. Only if they utilized it well...

Don't get me wrong, the Speedhunters Showdown atmosphere is great, but only at the start line. It seems dead at the rest of the course, without any onlookers and branding at the side of the roads. Ghost should look at Forza Horizon or even go back to ProStreet if they really wanna catch that vibe that actually feels alive.

    THE NIGHT RACES

That sensation of putting everything on the line feels awesome.

They just seem... redundant when you're at level 50 and you got all the Ultimate parts. There's no point in getting REP unless you need it for your crew. Otherwise, it's just 100% day races and INNA's Tu Manera playing at the car audio again.

    THE POLICE CHASES

    Boxed in my 458.

What Ghost did right is make the police ruthless and unforgiving. Maybe they're a bit too ruthless and unforgiving, though.

Cops spawn in out of nowhere (even if you catch them in the minimap), you get more damage to yourself than you do to the cops while ramming them (the passive buff doesn't help), the busted meter should be tweaked (you shouldn't get busted driving away at 80 KPH), the "Rhino Incoming!" message should disappear (makes them useless), and tires should not reinflate unless you equip the passive kit. These will make police chases better and feel challenging than a chore.

This Corvette's tryna run me off the road!

    CONTROL SCHEMES

    No change of control layout?

For some reason, Ghost omitted the option of different control schemes especially for manual transmission. This is a big issue as the buttons for shifting input are also buttons for certain actions, such as bribing the cops, getting inside the garage, starting an event, and changing a car. There should be different layouts to suit each player. Why have a face button be a change camera button? And the up d-pad is literally useless?

    STORY IMPROVEMENTS

    The start of Heat.

It should be expanded upon, IMO. It's way too short. Lt. Shaw is a great character and gets really little screentime. We should also see Joe and Richie back at some point. It ended abruptly as well. Besides phone calls, we should really have more engagement to some of the other characters in the story. We just... plopped into the League? The Speedhunters Showdown is literally just like a backdrop and serves not much purpose other than Dex's Driving Story? I need answers, Ghost.

    CHARACTER

Looking fine in my MKI MIYUKI ZOKU hoodie.

I put this last as not a lot of people really bother, but I value it a lot in putting out my personality into the game. They should add some clothes that aren't baggy-looking and have differing combos for shirts and jackets with some already existing clothes. You have a big FLGNTLT presence in the game - add their clothes! Also, people have spotted Nike stores around Palm City. If Nikes are coming, that would be awesome.

Overall, these things could add to the quality of life of the game. It can improve it significantly, and make it one of the best racers we've ever had. You've done some things right, Ghost - now do it even better.

If you've made it this far without skipping, I thank you. This was a lengthy one to make. I had to make it as there's no other place I could. Gotta get some sleep now, it's 1 AM as I post this!

    Final mission full dialogue version?

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 07:46 PM PST

I just figured out that the final mission has extra dialogue spoken by other characters if you don't take down Mercer fast enough (League calling Ana, Cops talking bout the player chasing Mercer). Is there any youtube video where all the dialogue bits are played out? I wanted to do it myself but found out we can't replay story missions...

I am now getting the inventory sync error for the third time

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 05:04 PM PST

And I'm just defeated at this point

I've deleted all my progress and restarted 3 times now

I've played through the stories, got all the collectibles and 3-stared all the activities 3 times now

I've built my garage and made a collection of cars, I've unlocked the ultimate/ultimate+ parts, and I've made liveries for multiple cars 3 times now

I just want to enjoy this game, I want to get my money's worth out of it, because I didn't pay to have half my access to it stripped away on some fucking bullshit

I'm so sick and tired of this error, I'm so sick and tired of stressing over this game, Heat is probably the best NFS we've gotten in a decade and I've never been so dissatisfied with a title in this series as I am with this one

I hate to create yet another one of these threads complaining about this issue but I just wanted to vent a little. I hope it's fixed soon, because after 280+ hours, I'm done
