This is what Heat would look like if we had the option to reduce exposure, reduce blue filter, and increase contrast (dont mind the poor quality, XBOX is terrible quality with the built in DVR)

Unlocking everything in Need For Speed Carbon

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 07:05 PM PDT

First, a short story for introduction!

Was bored (quarantine sucks) and decided to download NFS Carbon on the old X360 as i've never played it before (i know guys, it's one of the most popular NFS games, my bad ok), Most Wanted, Underground 2 and Hot Pursuit 2 was were it was at back in the old days so i missed some of the sequels at the time.

Finished 100% of the carrer mode and challenges. However, i'm still trying to grasp some stuff about the game, haven't unlocked every car and have lot's of questions about finishing it in it's entirety.

    Now, question time!

    1. Even though i did 100% in career mode, there's still one track in each neighbourhood that's still locked, how do i unlock them? Is there anything i'm missing maybe?

    2. Cross' Corvette need's 20 defensive races won to unlock, but after the campaign is finished, they don't appear anymore even after completing races again in career mode. Don't know how to fulfill this reward card. I'm assuming defensive races were the ones were you had to win races you already won to keep them in your crew's control as other crew's tried to take over your territory.

    3. Chevrolet Chevelle SS reward card requires me to have a balance of 1,000,000 in cash in career mode. Do i need to have that amount of cash without spending? My statistics profile in game says i have won over that amount but this didn't unlock that part of the reward card.

I think these are the questions bugging me at the moment. Game is great, maybe i'll write about it comparing to other NFS games in the future, definitely regret not playing it before. Thanks to people who help :).

Hey guys i did my first Need For Speed Cinematic project, Can i please get your honest opinion so i know where i should improve?

120+ cars but you can only paint 100 of them?!

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 01:56 PM PDT

Honestly, can someone explain to me why? They limited it to 50 in payback and then increased it to 100 like that's going to fix the issue, instead of removing the stupid ass limit

It honestly blows my mind, there's no excuse for this when other games with much higher amount of content, way better graphics, and 100 times more polished than Heat give you the option to customize unlimited amounts of cars

And the fact that you can't even paint your damn car without taking up a slot is stupid as f*ck

These ridiculous limitations are a pattern that we've seen throughout Ghost's games, like the 70 snapshots limit, the layers limit in the wrap editor, and again, the wrap save slots limit.

I just hope Criterion do a better job at not half-assing every single feature in the next games like Ghost did.

Did they ever add a Pause menu to NFS 2015?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 08:18 PM PDT

Looking to buy as a pick-up-and-play during all this quarantine business, but I haven't forgotten that controversy. So, did they add Pause or just save it for Payback?

Closest NFS to Need for Speed Underground 2 for PS4?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 07:34 PM PDT

    Hey guys,

I'm looking for the closest NFS to NFSU2 I can get right now for PS4. It's been a while but I used to love that game. Thanks!

So me and my brother are looking for a PC NFS (more info below in the text)

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 06:34 PM PDT

Yes, but we don't want any of the new ones, because he has Battlefront II and as you may know, they are from EA, but with the loot boxes problem, we want some of the "old" ones like the Hot Pursuit or the Rivals, Most Wanted, etc. So if you could give me any quick advice about the best NFS games that existed before this loot boxes trouble. Sorry if I mentioned any must-not-be-named words but I am new to this subreddit, and I need quick advice.

Just finished Need For Speed Underground 2 again...

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 11:56 AM PDT

The underground games were always my favorite next to most wanted, so I took the time while under quarantine to play UG2 again and I have to say it does not live up to my memory at all. It was painstaking to complete again and honestly I probably won't play it again. It gave me a new respect for the games that have come since then. The sense of speed in the newer games is leaps and bounds ahead of the Underground games, and the customization, while a tad more limited, is much more realistic and actually makes the cars look better. I'd say 85% of the customization options in Underground 2 were either pointless (hydraulics, engine paint/neon, nitrous purge), or just downright ugly. I did like the trunk customization, but it makes no difference except when you're taking pictures for DVD/Magazine covers, if they allow you to use a camera angle that shows your trunk. I think the sponsors/covers would be a cool thing to bring back in future games, and would give us a great in-game usage of the great photo tools in Heat. I didn't expect this to be this long, but I just wanted to say as a person who used to say the series was at its best in this era, that games like Heat and Payback have a ridiculously higher replay value and show glimpses of how amazing the series could be. I personally liked Heat and only wished it could have been longer and had more cars. Hopefully Criterion will make a Need for Speed game that can take a note from the Forza Horizon series: make it good and keep adding new content. I'm sure people will tear me apart for my opinion, but hey, what's Reddit for but civil discourse and obstinate venting?

    Strongest Car in Heat?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2020 04:27 PM PDT

What is the strongest car in nfs heat? I'm saying strong as in ability to give and receive damage. I previously thought all cars took damage the same, but I began noticing my '15 Mustang GT took hits way better than my RX7. Thoughts?

    Need for speed heat update

Now that battlefield V and star wars battlefront ll will not longer receive future content, I'm guessing that heat will go into the same path.
