A little message towards Criterion, I have faith in you. Posted: 05 Aug 2020 01:41 PM PDT Hi everyone! I've recently seen the NFS 2021 leaked footage. It is extremely early, it's early but I'm glad that we got something to work off of with Criterion. Some people including EA may see it as a negative but I think it's honestly a good opportunity before things get finalised for us to have our own say. I'm not sure how many of you have also seen the footage but some of it looks really good and I'm happy about it but there are two main issues I'd like to address and get the opinions from other people on it. First of all I see a lot of jumping and ramps and just ridiculous air time, obviously some jumps are fine and completely cool but when it gets extreme and you're constantly in the air or you're launching yourself on top of buildings left right and centre I think that needs a change first of all. Its a very Most Wanted 2012 style and even Heat had a lot of jumps which I kinda found to be annoying personally, if we look back to Underground there were jumps but the actual ramps were just things like train bridges and were far and few between which was great and had the realistic sense while having the arcade kind of jump. That's my first point on the subject. My next point would be the elephant in the room and that is the handling model, personally I wasn't a fan of any of Ghost or Criterion's handling although in Heat it improved a lot and it was the best it has been recently. Seeing this footage it seems very Burnout inspired and very Criterion Need for Speed of them to add in the sliding everywhere when honestly it's a little bit too easy. By far Forza isn't my favourite franchise nor am I comparing the two but If you look at their handling model it is pretty good. You have the easy to pick up and play aspect and you have the other end of really getting good at it and mastering it. I play Horizon four strictly for the drifting because it's fun and rewarding whereas with Need For Speed it's way too easy and not as fun as it look and feels scripted in a way and all the cars do it the same way no matter what drivetrain they are. I really think the biggest thing they need to work on is the handling, ripping it all out and starting again as it's by far the biggest weakness. I don't want a Forza clone by any means but just an overhaul to put it up there. Ubisoft managed it with The Crew 2 and although not perfect it's gotten a lot better. I really hope that some developers see this and listen to us, I really don't want a MW 2012 clone with customisation as I'm sure we'd be disappointed. I don't want to loose faith in Criterion as they have a lot of skill crafting games and it's their opportunity to start fresh and bring the best game in the franchise to date if they listen and do it right, I want to have faith in this studio I really do. What does everyone else think on the topic? [link] [comments]

The NFS 2021 Leak. Let's talk. Posted: 05 Aug 2020 02:32 PM PDT To see videos of the leak, just search it up on YouTube and look at either Blackpanthaa, LPN05, LPRIPPER-24, Craptastic Jack. Surprised Straightuphippo hasn't uploaded info on this yet. Max please don't hate us talking about it. First of all, I have to ask. Who pissed off an employee at Criterion to leak this? EA is going after that ass faster than any microtransaction ever. Okay, now on to the serious talk. The driving still looks fine as ever even though the gameplay we saw is unfinished and from May of 2020. The game looks as it's definitely taking place in a city so thank you Criterion. Hoping those races that we've seen are hints at illegal street racing. Seems as if drift boost isn't returning and please don't bring it back. Hoping that some of the driving and jumps can be utilized as ways to mess around with the environment and to make use of Shortcuts. If that use of the nitrous such as the holding the button down instead of pressing it returns, thank you. I'm also seeing the UI is probably from Heat and hopefully the health bar if it does return isn't as broken as Heat. And seems like Easydrive might make a return. Hopefully, the game is shaping up very well and development doesn't bite them in the ass. [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Aug 2020 09:44 PM PDT I'm playing Mostwanted all the leftover races after completing the carrer mode. I'm using the M3 gtr and because the police heat was too high I changed the colour and the vinyls of the car. I got the perfect colour back but can't find the original vinyl. Please tell me how to get it back. [link] [comments]

Leaked Footage for 2021, my suggestions for gameplay or for future games Posted: 05 Aug 2020 02:23 PM PDT I just seen a video on YT by BlackPanthaa about a leak and suggested we start stating our opinions on the game and what we would like to see. I noticed in NFS there aren't or hardly any drift races/events. The last game i played that was a racing game, i remember there being a downhill drifting races. That was pretty cool and wished there was something similar in Heat. In races, especially in the hill areas there's a lot of turns and i think to myself, this could great for drifting races. So my suggestion/s for this upcoming or future NFS games: Career Mode; it starts off by working on cars as a kid, to a teenager getting his/her first car to a career. This is where i feel like could be interesting twist to the career mode. There's different types of racing careers. The one that NFS focuses on are: Drag, Rally, Grip(F1), Street(roads), Drift When the Career mode starts, it takes you through cutscenes of growing up loving cars. When they're over, you start with 5k you buy your first car (between 2k-5k) and whatever is left of the 5k you buy parts for it. Once installed you start street racing for cash and eventually you see yourself doing something about it. You find a questionnaire on the internet "what type of racer are you?" You take a 5-10 question quiz, ex; what's your first car, what's your favourite car brand, where would you stay, favourite race type, do you like day or night. I like to drift so from then on the my career would be focused on Drifting, that'll lead me too a pro series like event, FD, compete untill i get to the top spot. During the run, we can unlocked specialty cars by beating them at a event, like Odi Bakchis s15 and the likes of other pros. After maxing out the drift and beating all the events, you can retire and the stats gets saved and placed on leaderboards for everyone to see. Once you retire, and start a new career, you cant go back. All car and car parts will be yours. You legacy will live on. And the game will start once again as a teenager with 5k to spend under a new name(forgot to mention this, we create our own name). CM will be kinda, sorta sperate from MP(Online) EA could use assets that they build in CM into MP as timed events, giving out rewards like cars, fully maxed out engines, special wheels, tires, etc. Those races could be based on the 5 types I've listed [(Drag, Drift, Rally, Grip(F1), Street(Road)] could be all 1 type of a mix of all. This is the only time you could use your own cars in MP or from CM. When it comes to micro transactions, keep it only cosmetics, window tint, tires, limited time wheels and cars etc. Just look at Modern Warfare, they're making millions over there with simple cosmetics. To me, this gives me, us, a reason to keep grinding the game for long time. We could be playing the game for 2-3 years more with regular content, events(weekly), prizes(monthly), nice and fair Micro Transactions. Just my 2 cents. [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Aug 2020 06:05 PM PDT I want to race all different types of racing take some notes from the old games. Like Prostreet and Shift how those two played was great. Take customization from Underground two, Prostreet and Carbon. Combine Heat, Payback and and Carbon map's and give us a story that will take us on a emotional rollercoaster and give us a car list that is actually fun and variety. [link] [comments] |
