NFS Heat has THE WORST soundtrack for a NFS game ever

This has nothing to do with my personal taste in music as there are plenty of NFS titles with bands and songs out of my listening genre that I loved hearing because it fit perfectly in a racing game. Ive played every title since NFS 2 Special Edition in 1996 and if you played me a random song, I am pretty sure Id recognize it from what game it was. Thats what NFS was for music, it always had memorable OST just as the Burnout games did.

Heat soundtrack totally missed the boat with the overall vibe. There is not a single track that would remind you of Miami or give you some beach vibes. There are so many iconic scenes and songs that paint the picture of Miami for you and all they used was modern day Miami songs which Im sure have their fans but its so damn bland and boring. They got Miami Ultra Music Festival every year, the biggest EDM event in USA and they couldnt find anything more upbeat to put in the game? Miami is also known as a skate culture state...where are the punk/rick songs? What about songs from the 80s....the classic hits that everyone knows, the ones that you hear and say..."ey this is Miami". GTA Vice City nailed it.

Nothing against new age music etc but imo they completely missed the vibe here. They chose the most boring and bland songs of even the well known artist like Chase n Status. Im driving 300kmh and feel like im listening to the same 5 songs that keep repeating over and over and that do nothing to enhance the experience. Its plain boring and disappoints me that its such a forgettable OST.

NFS 2015: had gritty soundtrack to fit the night vibe, but also had old school rap songs and they even brought back remixed versions of songs from NFS 3 and 4.

NFS Payback: wasnt the best but hey, had plenty of upbeat songs, indie rock etc. Think it did a good job to represent Vegas.

NFS 2010: Amazing blend of new and old of all genres.

NFS 2012: probably the closest thing to a Burnout OST but we know why that is.

NFS 4, Hot Pursuit 2, Underground, Most Wanted, Pro Street, The Run, Carbon, even the shitty Undercover all had amazing OSTs.
