Posted: 01 Apr 2020 06:06 PM PDT Hello! I have beat all the challenges, the rap sheet, and it appears I have completed all races and milestones in career, but I'm stuck at 99%. Also, I did not get C6R upon beating the rap sheet. And for the record, it says career is at 99%, but everything else is 100%. Anyone else have this issue? :/ [link] [comments]
Cops vs runners (PVP) in NFS Heat Posted: 01 Apr 2020 11:03 AM PDT is it just me, or was the cops vs runners in hot persuit just amazing. i feel like they should add the exact same concept to nfs heat. back then i used to find it so fun being a cop and taking the runners out, i also however loved being a runner and making it to the end. what are your thoughts? Posted: 01 Apr 2020 02:47 PM PDT I was bored one day and decided to play Most Wanted. I hadn't played a racing game since many years. Right from the beginning when I heard the music and saw the intro and the menu, I knew I was going to be hooked. And I was. I played it through in 3 - 4 days and I had so much fun. The music and the high speed make the adrenaline pumping. Seeing a police car can result in a 20 minutes long chase with crazy cop car crashes. Despite its grinding nature with bounty collecting and milestones and the repetitive races, I was never bored. Every blacklist member is a new challenge. I always waited to pull the trigger to buy a new car to see if the next two following cars were better to purchase. Everything from the soundtrack, the music, the cars, the blacklist members and the cop chases to the extremely high speed and the atmospehere makes the game so memorable. It was just as fun, if not even more fun, as I remembered it and I could not stop playing it before I had got my M3 GTR back. During some races and chases, my heart was pounding extra fast and I could feel the nervosity build up to not screw up anything and having to start over again. Naturally, I decided to play Carbon as well after completing MW and well, what can I say? I used to see Carbon as the superior game as a kid because I probably thought Most Wanted was too hard and not rewarding enough. I see them completely differently now as an adult and here's my take. After playing thrilling and relatively hard Most Wanted, I quickly realised that Carbon is way too easy to be enjoyable. It's really hard to not finish first. The crew members make everything ridiciously easy, since a win from their side is a win for you, meaning there is no competition whatsoever. It also runs a lot slower for some reason. This might be an illusion of the tyres screeching for anything and it gets a "little" tiring after hearing that noise all, the, time. After each race, you unlock a certain item and I had nitrous after only 2 races. In Most Wanted, there is no nitrous during the first blacklist member and the first time you are able to encounter it is if you get Sonny's car. That is more of a challenge, instead of having a pretty decent car already after a couple of races. I was able to upgrade everything quickly because the money was abundant too, no need to save anything. The races themselves are so easy as they are and being able to upgrade your car so quickly does not help with the lacking difficulty. Speaking of easy, the drift races are fun to see again since they were missing in MW but they are also lacking any sort of difficulty, although the canyon drifts are tougher. Crashing into a wall during a combo means that you get the score anyway, instead of losing the points that you've built up - why?! The cop chases are not even relevant nor significant in this game either and that's what makes MW so memorable after all. Another thing, the ability to jump to any location without having to drive in free roam to explore the city removes a lot of the charm too. You spend all the time in the races, whereas in MW you were forced to drive and explore the city. Gone is the suitable and amazing soundtrack. and instead there is some sort of obfuscated generic action game music (correct me if I'm wrong but I didn't hear any real music during my ~30% of gameplay). Blasting through Rockport in 350 km/h with Celldweller in the background is spectacular. There is only one song I remember from Carbon: the menu song, which is fantastic. Neither do I like the idea of having tiers for categorising cars. In MW, any car can be customised to the ultimate level and while it might not be realistic that an Audi A3 can outdrive a Lamborghini Gallardo, most parts of MW is very unrealistic so why remove that? Instead, you're forced to buy a tier 2 car to be able to catch up with the rest of the cars during races and all of a sudden, your fully upgraded tier 1 car is redundant and serves no function at all. In MW, I kept all of my cars to be able to use them for pursuit if they were suitable for it. One of the more clearly annoying parts were the messages about other crew members taking over your district, and you have to race them in order to keep your territory. That feels like a simple way to prolong the gameplay and it is so tedious. I completed a race and took over a territory, and one race after that, the said overtaken territory was under attack and I had to re-race the exact same race again. That feels like a big middlefinger and nothing else. Lastly, I was getting a little tired of seeing the animated cutscenes with rivals coming up to my car, talking about how I should leave the city. There is no way to skip them as far as I know and they do not fulfill anything to the story, more than just understanding that they hate the fact that you take over their territory, which is logical. Let's not even talk about the small video footages of the rivals laughing at you whenever you crash or drive into anything at all. Once or twice, alright, but 25 times during a race gets repetitive. Also, it's a little ironic when they are 1500 m behind you and laugh when you crash into a pair of chairs and a table. Good things about Carbon are the vehicle selection and the general feel of driving them. Most cars in MW feel similar to each other, but in Carbon, a muscle car is heavy and prone to drift a lot, whereas an exotic car has a lot of downforce and handling. The canyon races are actually challenging and could be the only actual challenge in the whole game. The ability to stylise cars is also neat, but I usually go for stock looking cars so I don't really utilise it. I can definitely see its meaningfulness to the game though. My conclusion is that Carbon, to me, is not remotely close to MW in terms of pure joy and excitement. Little about the game stands out compared to its predecessor and I don't know why I thought it was so much more fun as a kid. I think it was the clear lack of a challenge to be honest. It's rewarding and closer to a modern game with tons of rewards for almost anything and I guess that's fun for a child. I prefer the more grinding nature of MW because it made me feel something when I finally unlocked that specific car or got that much bounty. Carbon misses that feeling of relief because things are unlocked much more often. What are your opinions about these games in comparison to each other? [link] [comments]

Need For Speed Underground 2 Handling l? Posted: 01 Apr 2020 06:46 PM PDT I wanted to upgrade the handling on my Celica. At the Beacon Hill Performance ship I can get the street package tires and it makes my handling bar go down. Does it matter as much for the handling bar to be up or down? Or does having it lower actually mean your handling is worse? For every new car in the lots the handling is always more and more so I assume that you want everything to be high as possible (obviously acceleration and top speed you want high) So does that mean it would be better for me to skip on the tires if it makes my handling go down? Posted: 01 Apr 2020 02:01 PM PDT I mean I get rubberbanding and all but these cops are ridiculous man. The chevys I can understand and again I get its a game but a crown Victoria keeps up with a maxed out ferrari with ease yeah? Like speedwise I sorta go OK fuck it right but I'll make an insane corner or a crazy uturn and barely keep my grip and these crown vics will be an inch behind me the whole time not making any mistakes ever? Am I supposed to just circle long jumps or something cause there aren't any signs or whatever to drop on em like in carbon, speed doesn't seem to be an issue for them and they stick to the road like they ride on rails. Are jumps really the only option past heatlevel 3? Is there any other way to shake em? [link] [comments]
NFS Heat crashing on main screen PS4 Posted: 01 Apr 2020 04:44 PM PDT Hi, I apologise for wrong formatting as I am posting using my phone. I bought Heat today and took me a while to download given the pandemic internet situation. The game is stuck on main screen idk why and when I force close it, it gives me CE 34878 0 error (if I am correct). Every other game in my PS is working perfectly fine. I had it installed on external HDD. Any ideas how to fix this issue? Thanks! [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Apr 2020 09:37 AM PDT Completed most wanted a few times and carbon once, was wondering how good underground 2 is in comparison? Never actually played it and was thinking this was a good time to start! [link] [comments] |
