What do people expect in a NFS on the next generation consoles? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 08:42 PM PDT I expect a new liveries for new NFS boss cars / icons. For lightning to strike twice on a beloved wrap people will instantly love ( from my designer point of view ) i would draw inspiration from race car liveries and have another car that is a road version of a track car with the inspired paint. For example a Porche GT3 RS with a Porche RSR RWB replica body kit with Red and Aqua livery flowing with the curves of the car on top of the Silver or white car. (Just like we saw on BMW GTR) (don't get confused when I say "Just like on BMW GTR" because of course they are different body shapes) [link] [comments]
Should I buy NFS Payback in 2020? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 10:12 PM PDT I bought NFS 2015 a few years back with full price because I watched the reviews of the game and I really liked the graphics and the customizations, but it's such a shitshow because I didn't know the game needs internet connection to play. Which leads me to skip the Payback, and I bought Heat during the Spring Sale and I fairly enjoyed the game so far, just too much grinding for me because the parts in the game are ridiculously expensive. Two days after finishing Heat, I find myself missing the game a lot, but I don't feel like playing the game again and experience the tryhard grinding sessions once more. Do you guys think Payback is still worth it? [link] [comments]

Need for Speeds state is just sad... Posted: 17 Apr 2020 01:41 PM PDT Need for Speed has been this franchise, that changed so much over the years. Every now and then we had a change in the style and tone of the game which brought new life to the franchise. Sadly, this also meant, that need for speed lacked more and more identity. After so many different styles of games, its hard to say "this is typical for need for speed". Which brings us to "Heat". A game that I think everybody was so excited for. Heat comes out, people like it, talk positively about it, this sub is glad the game came out the way it is but then everything goes downhill. The game is the best (maybe) one of all 4 ghost titles but gets almost 0 updates due to the criterion thing, there is a complete lack of communication and now the game rots. Compared to so many other racing games, need for speed is nothing in this state. It could've been, but they missed the mark. What now? I think, and this definitely applies to me, many people lost trust. People often say about the nfs community that they are very toxic. While that may be true to an extend, the nfs community is very loyal too. We may not agree on what we want, because not even the devs know what they want, but we are loyal and keep on hoping, that some day, we get a great game. That may never happen tough... One of the core things that sets nfs appart from the rest is tuning, if you like it or not, cops too. Both these elements were never done better or to the extent than nfs has done it in the past. This is exactly where Heat is lacking so much. The tuning almost didn't improove at all after 2015 and they even took parts away. The decal editor also didn't evolve, taking more and more brands away and lacking many abilities like grouping even tough we are on the third game with customization. New cars added to the roster got some pretty good parts, but old ones like the civiv didn't get touched. The car still has not a single rear bumper even tough it gets riced in real life. Not that i want the ricing, but it lacks any substance. Cops are nowhere near most wanted. The cop system is okay, but after reaching level 50, the night time is pointless. Grinding money after the games very short story isn't any fun nor does it add anything. The mclaren f1 dlc is a joke, pay 5$ for the second fastest car in the game. The free car is one of the worst even. And also they didn't bother balancing the 911 RSR for 6 years. This is just a disgrace. So need for speed is in the hands of a "new" team (I don't need to explain this, everyone knows). Does anyone really have hope at this point? I don't. They don't listen to anyone in the community, keep bringing in offroad races and such which nobody asked for, try to copy forza and fail doing that (i dislike forza too, so spare me with forza fanboy comments), have no clear focus on car selection (it got much better in this game, i have nothing against exotics, but cars like mclaren p1 gtr feel to much out of place, most wanted and carbon handled that much better), and they even fail to make the open world interesting. The map isn't that large and that's why they limited the cars to 375km/h. Also, bugs like clipping cars all the time on the road and missing features like tire offset, which we had in 2015 and the lack of any mentionable online play, makes heat a bad game. At this point, i think the nfs franchise should be laid to rest. I don't trust these guys to ever make nfs as good as the old games again. From underground to prostreet, all of them had an clear identity and focused on that. Even tough some elements of these games didn't age well, you can still hop in and have fun with those. I can't say the same about heat... [link] [comments]
Any NFS games on PC that support triple monitors and non-Logitech wheels? Posted: 17 Apr 2020 08:25 PM PDT I usually play simcade and simulation games on PC with a wheel and triple monitors, but got a craving for good old NFS games—especially open world. I have a bunch of them in my Steam and Origin libraries, and while the older ones support triple monitors well, they're not so great with wheels and require a lot of keyboard use, which is a bummer. My wheel is a Fanatec CSR—old but still solid and it works well with all those simcade and simulation games. Is there any particular (open world) game I should try for both wheel and triple-monitor support on PC? Or should I give up and just use a controller on a single screen and pretend I'm using a console?I think that's my next step... Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
