Posted: 03 Jun 2020 10:39 PM PDT This is probably a stupid question, but is there anything update 1.5 changed handling and physics wise? Just asking to anyone that had got Heat before that update. [link] [comments]
Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005/2012)? Posted: 03 Jun 2020 05:31 PM PDT Hey everyone. Just discovered this sub, really happy to have found it! I used to play NFSMW 2005 back in the day and I just finished a 100% playthrough for the first time ever. I know the game was redone in 2012 and was thinking about getting it. I was wondering, though, if it had the same blacklist dynamic as the 2005 game. That's what, to me, made the first one great. It felt so gratifying to claw my way up the blacklist and kick Razor's ass for messing with me. So I was hoping the 2012 game follows the same story. If not, are there any other NFS games that follow a similar path? Sorry if this question seems dumb, I'm not super into the series as a whole but I've had time to play some games during quarantine and would love your advice. Thanks, everyone! [link] [comments]

Been gone from the game for a while. Posted: 03 Jun 2020 08:31 PM PDT Hi, I purchased NFS Heat on its release and stopped playing two months later, I wanted to know if they added any new cars to the game? I have not seen anything related to any cars being added. Thank you [link] [comments]

NFSU2 is the best... except for the actual racing Posted: 03 Jun 2020 12:37 PM PDT I love both Underground games and have since I first played them on the GC. I got a second copy of Underground 2 on the Xbox for the improved visuals and framerate, and I'm playing it again now on the 360. I've also been playing Burnout 3 and a tiny bit of Midnight Club LA. I love visual car customization, and it's one of my favorite things about these games. In THUG2 I like the open world (although I wish it had fast travel) and love sprint, drift, and most drag races. Unfortunately, while THUG2 has better handling than the first game and several other improvements like being able to own more than one car and customize more total cars, various things about it make it frustrating for me to play in the last third or so of the game. I remember this being the case in the GC version as well, but there seems to be a half-second or so delay of input lag that I don't notice in other racing games. This makes driving feel sluggish. Combined with an unstable framerate and slightly twitchy steering where a slight press is too little and a bit more sends you flying into a car or a corner, I've lost count of how many races I've lost because of this. It seems that right at the end of the third lap, there's almost always a turn into a blind corner with an oncoming car right in your path and little or no time to react. There are metal parts that stick out or boxed-in areas as you exit certain corners that completely stop you. If you're too cautious and take it slow, the AI will pass or ram into you. You could slow down and aim for the best lines, but AI cars apparently don't experience the same laws of physics. They can slam into walls at top speed and bounce back like it's nothing. When you attempt to pass them, most of the time they go out of their way to ram you or get in front of you. Is ramming just part of the game like in Burnout? No; if you hit them, most of the time they're not phased by it, or you're slowed down more than they are. Circuit races are annoying for these reasons; sprint races don't seem to be as bad in these areas except maybe for the final stretch. But while Street X and URL races are fun early in the game, later ones become true tests of patience. Near-invincible AI cars will constantly slam into you while you're trying to make tight corners, which they can do perfectly without braking like you have to or swerving like you do if you try to turn that sharply. Drag races can be frustrating when you can't see obstacles ahead of you and when you swerve too much while changing lanes (or don't change lanes at all despite your inputs until the game gives you permission to right before an obstacle); but at least they're very short. Still, it's BS to total your car because you can't change lanes even though there's space and your car swerves like crazy when you do. And then there are jumps that tilt your car in random directions. Drift races are always fun for me including the downhill ones. I pretty much always beat these by a huge margin on my first try. Outrun races are really tedious to win unless you get lucky and make a sudden turn that the other car isn't able to make or if the other car hits traffic. I wish the game made it clear that these are required for unique parts and upgrades (or better yet, I wish they weren't required for anything) and that they gave more money when you win. From what I remember, some of the frustration with AI seeming to have their own physics and feel cheap were common in many NFS games including the original Most Wanted. It's been a while since I last played that, though. Thoughts? Do I just suck at NFS games, or do you think these are valid points? [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Jun 2020 12:55 PM PDT I decided to come back to this game after about 3 months of not playing it but it was making me do the beggining all over again with all my money and cars missing. Does anyone know how to get my stuff back? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Jun 2020 12:46 PM PDT I'm on ps4 and don't know if anyone else has this problem. I decided to take a break from Heat after they had released the McLaren F1 back in March. Mostly cause I had a backlog of games that I never finished or had never played, so today I decided to finally play again but every time I try to play online it sends me to the ps store to buy ps+ but I have over a year of ps+ still. Is there anyway to fix this? [link] [comments]
