    Pro Street DJ

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 05:02 PM PDT

I have recently been replaying pro street and I am impressed with all the little details the DJ says during race days. He comments on your new car whenever you bring it to a race day. Also I just totaled my viper and he said, "Every now and then that deadly snake will bite its owner, Ryan Cooper's SRT10 is done for the day!"
These small touches make the game feel alive and it's becoming one of my favorite nfs the more I play it. What's some of y'all's favorite details in prostreet?

    Beauty of Palmont City

Honestly, I’m glad that NFS series is still holding up.

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 01:47 PM PDT

I know ever since MW2012, the series had been generally mixed within the community, but I am happy that this series didn't die out like many other Arcade Racing games out there. I really miss Arcade Racing as I feel there are too many Simracing games out there and even the Simcade ones like Forza Horizon 4 feels too Sim-like for me.

Having loads of fun with Heat and definitely looking forward to Hot Pursuit 2010 Remastered.

    Can't stand the Heat

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 05:31 PM PDT

I brought NFS Heat back in September, wanting a racing game that could at least fill the void for whenever Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be release. For the first couple of hours, it feels like a true NFS Game. Graphics looks nice, albeit on the PS4 there's alot of loading textures when you exit a building, the controls and gameplay is top notch, and overall it just felt like a great NFS game with all the great extra stuff added in without the use of a Lootbox system. And then there's the long, tedious, grinding road ahead of you.

To be fair, this isn't my first NFS Game, I've been playing the games since Hot Pursuit 2 on the PS2. Most Wanted (2005 Version) has been the most played in the series for me, so the whole thing with Police Chases isn't new to me, either. So I'm excepted to cause alot of trouble with the "Speed Force" of Palm City...only for them to just stick on me and make me their bitch.

To simply put, I have two major complaints with the game: How easy it is to reach to Heat Level 5 without any chance of escaping them without any Jump Ramps, and how very little you get by doing the Events in the game-both Day and Night.

I know it's only the opening hours of the game, so I'm not excepting to get like a ferrari F 40 within three hours of game play, but at the rate I was going, focusing on modifying my Starter Car for more and more Challenging events, it'll at least take me even longer to even reach Level 20. Money during the Day's Events are so small, the only focus that'll at least work until the "200" Events start popping up is modifying my Starter. Even with that, you'll still be underpowered for the most part until at least Level 18, where most of the Early Stronger and Powerful car are avabile. Night on the other hand just gives you so little Rep (XP in the game) for each Events. It's honestly better to kick the Hornet's Nest by causing a Police Chase.

Which lead me to my next problem: The Police Chases can easily get difficult.

Now before you attack me with "So you're saying the Police are too hard for your liking?" I'll respond with this: I don't hqve a problem with a pretty hard Police Force to deal with. In fact, the harder the better...but don't make it so difficult so easily. Especially when you try to escape them with any means necessary. I mean, the only way you can truly escape them is by jumping over Ramps, especially if it's for Billboards or the "How far can you Jump" Challenges. The worst part is: The Heat Level is also acts as a multiplier-the higher the Heat Level, the higher the mutiplier, thus the higher the Rep you'll get at the end of the Night. Well good luck trying to get alot of Reps in one night! Because once you're passed Heat Level 3, the game has a huge difficulty spike with the Police, especially if you're using your Starter. If you managed to survive that without wasting your Gas Station uses for the night, once at Level 5, you're done. The Rhino is a hard S.O.B that can easily damage you to the point of being wrecked. If not that, Road spikes will be all over in every corner, which is pretty excepted since Level 4, and yeah...they'll swarmed you like a goddamned Hive Mind.

Now it's been a while since I've played MW 2005, but I don't remembered the Police in the game being that hard, but Heat's Cops are relentless, especially once you reach around Heat Level 3. Maybe all of this is because I'm kinda of a "Gambler" Racer-Try to pull something risking for some early high rewards-and I shouldn't be pressing my luck this early until I either get an early Super Car or maybe a SUV or a Truck. Which, yeah...I do have a bad habit of doing that. Which right now, I got my ass kicked, even reducing all my money to 0$. So now I have to take the long road again...and possibly again, too.

So overall, NFS Heat, is a definitely good entry for the series, but it's one unforgiving one at that.

So please send me lots of hate for how I sounded in this post, downvote it and call me a cry baby that enjoys Burnout more than NFS.

    NFS Heat vegetation glitch?

My game has these pixelated vegetations all over the place. Everything is on high graphic settings and I tried all of them to see if it will make a difference. Really makes the game look ugly. Anyone got a fix?

What’s your favorite need for speed game?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 04:40 PM PDT

I am just getting into nfs payback and I'm really enjoying it is there any other need for speed games that I should look at playing? I'm not sure how payback ranks with the rest of the community with the other games.

Completed races count towards milestones and vice versa. Can't pass the next Blacklist rival. Any way to fix this other than making a new save?

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but everytime I play online in NFS HEAT and try to race people the "Challenge All" or "Invite All" option does not show up for me before I start a race. Please help if you know what's wrong here or if I'm maybe doing something wrong. Thanks!

Why is the Netcode so bad? (heat)

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 03:22 AM PDT

i'm playing with my friends a lot and there are so many porting cars.

i can oversee the fact that barricades respawn.

BUT when opponents ram, one gets turned in your way and you ram him 1 sec before he ports away and is driving fine, it gets frustrating

every single corner where you touch an opponent you are on the other side on his screen and smashed multiple times because of this feedback loop. Bots have the same behaviour too. and often ramming other players on a straight in the back doesnt count.

i mean wtf. NFS:Carbon already had a better multiplayer/netcode and that was in the age of 90-100ms ping not 15ms.

The map in heat feels very busy, is there really no way to filter by recommended rating or even type of race or am I stupid?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2020 08:25 AM PDT

If I am great because it's kind of frustrating trying to find 1 or 2 races for challenges in a sea of 100 races.
