    Daily Challenge - Young Speedster

    Hey everyone, I'm a bit stumped.

    One of my daily challenges is: Win the Young Speedster event in a Diablo SV.

    The event requires a car with LESS than 250hp, though. And the stock Diablo SV is 500hp+??

    Anyone have any idea how to do this?

    A Suggested Gameplay Mechanic for Future Need for Speed Games

    (I may probably regret posting this, and I don't know if it breaks Rule 7, but here goes...)

    If you're reading this, at least hear me out. I think it's time for something a little different than what we've been used to seeing in this sub for quite some time now. My idea for an event for the next game(s)?

    Parts Challenges.

    The main premise is that the player, in an event sanctioned by higher ups (may be the underworld kingpins, or the legal street organizers; any way you see fit) compete against other racers for the chance to win parts packages.

    Parts packages are self-explanatory: they are bundles of individual parts focusing on a specific component of the car. Engine, airflow, drivetrain, wheels, body parts? They will be closer to reach with every win the player gets.

    To enter, the player must pay a fee decided by the organizers of the event. Then they will be placed into a series of races, may it be circuit, sprint, drag, or outrun.

    Now, it can be done in 2 ways, depending on the pace:

    • It could be just regular stuff, with about 3 races in total. The player could advance if they get 1st or 2nd place in the first 2 races. However, they MUST be at 1st place if they want to get the prize. Their reward is chosen by the player amongst 4 random boxes, in a classic Black Box fashion (in the older NFS games).

    OR

    • It could be longer, with a total of 5 races. The player could still advance if they get at least 2nd place in the first 2 races. But after this point, the event will commence... duels.

    The duels could be dependent on the number of times they won 1st on the initial races. The winner in 1st place on the first race gets to choose of location and type of race for their duels on the third race in this challenge, while winning 1st in the second race grants them the same choice, but for the fourth race.

    The fifth and final race in this challenge should (preferably) be an outrun race, in which the player must overtake the opponent and keep the lead within a certain amount of time.

    The amount of parts packages won, in this case, is proportional to how many duels have been won. Winning all 3 duels allows choice of 3 parts packages chosen amongst 6 random ones.

    I felt the need to talk about it, because I wanted the idea to be known, and that (even if it's a quite a bit of foolish hope) someone at Criterion might look around this subreddit, and consider this feature. It also just seemed like there aren't enough things to look around for in this subreddit.

    I sure hope you got entertained by this idea, though! Let me know what you think about it.
