    We get classic Mustangs and modern Mustangs, we get classic Camaros and modern Camaros, but we only get the classic Charger? What happened to the modern Charger?

    Last game we got on the racer side was The Run, I believe, but only as a taxi (unless you count the Wii version). Rivals only had it on the cop side.

    No Ultimate parts

    Hi I was doing a high heat race with a friend earlier and had unlocked an ultimate part. I was at Crit health and was going to a gas station but had crashed into a tree on the way there. When I got sent back to my safe house I found that there were no ultimate parts anywhere in my inventory. Can someone tell me what happened?

    A few simple features I’d like to see return to Need for Speed

    I think small details like these really help define the game and adds more to do, so here it is:

    Custom Races (or "Quick Race") - it would really be nice to be able to chose laps, traffic density, time, and weather like you could before. Not sure why this was ultimately removed as it was in the games from the start and for so long. Also it would be nice to only race against other players, I don't always want to have AI involved when I'm competing against my friends.

    Impound Strikes - I think there needs to be an actual consequence for getting busted. And Heat was all about the racers getting their cars impounded and sold on the black market, this would have been the perfect opportunity to re-introduce this feature.

    More game modes like knockout races or cops and robbers - it seems like newer games only focus on just races. There were a lot of fun game modes that past games had and I wish we got more unique modes for these newer games. My favorites were pursuit tag from Carbon and Most Wanted from Hot Pursuit (2010).

    Bonus cars - one thing I liked about Black Box is that they let you drive things from boss cars to traffic cars. In Carbon you could drive a dump truck or fire truck. You probably won't win, and I'm sure you chose to drive it just for the laughs.

    Split Screen - I really want this feature back, it annoying that I can't play with my family on the new games unless everyone gets their own console. I miss the days of my friends coming over and we'd have some fun in the same room. It just isn't the same online.

    I feel like these little things show the passion that went into these games and added more replay-ability. It just feels like Ghost didn't have the passion for their games like Black Box did. Hopefully Criterion can bring this back.

    Why are racing games so restrictive these days?

    First up I haven't played nfs heat but I was watching my little brother play and it looks great but he would miss a turn and just keep going but the game wouldn't let him do that because he would have to turn around and that would make him lose even though he was first before.

    Is the whole game this restrictive or is there parts that are like burn out paradise? Because I was going to get it but it looks way too restrictive and unable to let me get off the beaten path to win a race.
