    FAQ

Q: You realize it's impossible to have all these cars together and a lot of customization at the same time, right?

A: I am 100% aware that it's impossible. For now. I know EA puts pressure on the devs to get the game done ASAP, but as technology evolves it will be possible eventually. When we're past 100 years old, the game I envision will be out already.

Q: Why didn't you put in this limited production car?

A: I know I didn't put supercars and hypercars that were produced in limited editions on the list, or there are limited production cars, and I forgot about that. But I didn't put them there ON PURPOSE. The idea is to make those high-end cars feel more rewarding. I feel like in recent Need for Speed games, they put too much emphasis on ultra-expensive, luxury hypercars, that you see in rap videos. The rest of the car scene? They just slapped the most iconic cars in their respective circles and called it a day, when it's a lot more than those iconic cars. There are unsung, underrated legends in the car scene that deserve as much love as the popular cars.

Q: Why didn't you put in the 5 variants this car has?

A: Because that would be unnecessary, and it would just add more to the pile. It's better to have the base model for every car, and in the game, build upon it. It's pointless to have an Aventador, and an Aventador SVJ when you can make the base Aventador an Aventador SVJ. The list is long enough as it is, but if I learn about a cool car that has potential, I will add it to the list.. And please, someone help me with the Porsches! They're so Jack-Rourke-damn confusing!

Join me next time when I will pitch in the story I have for my Need for Speed fantasy!

My Story Idea For The Perfect Need for Speed Game

    Posted: 21 Sep 2020 04:41 PM PDT

This is my pitch for the ultimate Need for Speed game . I tried to make it more of an insentive to keep playing, while being less intrusive. Without further ado, here it is! Enjoy!

    ACT 1

You just finished highschool, and you hang out with your friend, who suggests you get your first car. You browse the in-game Internet and select the ad you want to check out. You buy the car, and together you go for some laps around the block so he can teach you the ropes. Win or lose, it doesn't matter, because you don't get anything. The friend then gives you a bunch of optional challenges that you can complete as the storyline progresses, but if you do, you unlock unique parts, not generic stuff.

Later, at home, you get a call from your friend who puts you in your first real event. He shows you a couple of hotspots located around the map, which you have to complete. In one of those events the police engage in a pursuit with you and the opponents, and you escape. Your friend recommends you go home to work on your car. He says it's essential if you want to beat the Wolfpack, 20 of the best racers in the area.

After that, you're free to do what you want. Get in cop chases, win races, show off at car meets, post videos online, all these will attract the attention of the Wolfpack. Keep in mind, every Wolfpack you defeat will either become your friend, which means more challenges and more cool stuff if you complete them, or your rival, which means that from time to time, they will demand rematches, but they give up if you defeat them enough times, or they will not be any of those things.

    ACT 2

After you defeat the #20 - #16 Wolfpacks, your parents find your videos online and demand you leave the house, or they'll call the cops if you don't. You give them the silent treatment, and naturally, they keep their word. You have to flee. You go get your car and run. If you have more than one car, you will have to choose which you will take. The rest will be left behind.

You escape the cops, and call your friend for help. He lets you stay with him in his house in the newly unlocked area of the map until you find another place to stay. In the meantime, if you left your other cars behind, your parents will taunt you on the phone over your cars, that they made big bucks on them selling them over the internet. You can buy them back later, albeit a bit modified.

Now you're once again, free to go, now with more of a reputation. To cheer you up, at one point, your squad gathers for track day. That's your introduction to Track Day races

    ACT III

You defeat the next 5 Wolfpacks, and find a bigger house in another recently unlocked area, in which you move along with your cars. Meanwhile the police increase their patrols to deal with the reborn street racing craze, which means they'll look out for you and other racers on the map more often.

At one point, you and your ever-growing squad decide to do a cool video for the social media, and to do that, you gotta do a few events around the map, including beating a Wolfpack member. Now that the shooting is done, you have to edit the video. By that, I mean the guys selected the best bits and you have to order them to make a rad video. The video becomes an overnight sensation.

    ACT 4

You defeat 5 more of the Wolfpacks, and your popularity attracts the attention of professional race car drivers who offer you an invitation to become a race car driver yourself. You take up on the offer, and have a trial race with a group of pros. They are impressed by your driving skills, and they offer you your own personal space with access to premium performance parts that you can buy. Later, you find out some Wolfpacks are race car drivers, including #1.

You defeat Wolfpack after Wolfpack, participate in some official races, while at the same time, building your reputation in the street racing scene. Some comments on your recent videos suggest you've strayed too far from the street racing scene, which you prove wrong with your actions, by winning races against higher tier cars.

Now comes the time to defeat the #1 Wolfpack. They race you on the street and on the track in multiple races. When you finally win, you find your parents in the crowd. Then you hear sirens wailing in the distance. They get louder. The cops are coming for you. They get on the track, and you try to get away in your new prize: #1's car.

You must now escape a relentless police force that gives all they got to catch you. You escape this time as well, and you go to your old home. Your parents are totally scared when they see you still standing. They swear to never call the police on you ever again and let you keep racing. As you get out of the house, your squad waits for you, assuring you your other car is safe, and invite you to go for a ride.

    THE END

    What do you think?

I have tried reinstalling this game multiple times, but I am met with a black screen each time.

I'm using a r9 280x and have successfully ran this game in the past, but had to erase to free space for new games.

Next NFS game needs the 959

    Posted: 21 Sep 2020 02:18 PM PDT

That's right. The next Need For Speed game freaking NEEDS the Porsche 959.

For what, you ask? Because now that the F40, Countach, and Testarossa are available, there is only one car left to make an absolutely iconic, The Cannonball Run-esque legendary race between these 80's supercars, and the dream of it happening could finally come true.

PLEASE EA. I'M FREAKING BEGGING YOU. PLEASE ADD THE PORSCHE 959. It's all I ask of you right now.

(What if) NFS 2015 Remaster For The New Gen

    Posted: 21 Sep 2020 04:29 PM PDT

    One can dream...

We all know that 2015 was a fan tribute. Some even call it Underground 3. So, what if we got a 2015 (slight) remaster on the new gen consoles. I mean the same game, but with a few technical changes (nothing major, just quality of life):

    • Remove crash cams
    • Make street items smashable: wooden posts, trees, trash containers
    • Take handling model from Heat (I know, it is a bit of stretch for a "technical" change, but both games use Frostbite, so there is a chance). Or fix the auto-steering and e-brake
    • Make restarts instant

An that's it. Keep everything as it was (incl. the 2JZ bearer). What do you guys think?
