    Ideas I've had for a new NFS game- should it be based in Japan?

    I think we all agree the NFS games are feeling a little tired- each one seems more and more similar to the last which is inevitable with an active series as old as NFS. I think a big part of this is setting. You can change the type of city of landscape but at the end of the day it's still America. Forza Horizon tackled this by setting the game in the UK. Setting it in Japan would be a massive step and would be (I think) the first open world racing game based in Japan- and I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't properly know what the streets of Japan look like. The setting would also align with popular car culture- Japanese cars and also Japanese tuning/modding style and culture are a massive part of today's mainstream.

    So a few ideas I've had:

    • Illegal street racing- make this both day and night but keep it that you win bank in the day and rep at night. Have cops turn up no matter what time of day.
    • Legal racing- move this from the makeshift speedhunter tracks to actual real life Japanese race tracks and have them set up like a track day. Make it that when participating in track days you have a chance of winning parts as well as bank. Certain parts (or even cars) can only be obtained by winning championships at these tracks.
    • Story- take a leaf out of the Carbon book and have each area of the map owned by a different bosozoku gang. You have to win night events to earn enough rep- then you can challenge the gang directly. When you challenge them you are invited to a special midnight race on the C1 loop and a night time touge drift event. Since the drift event is in the mountains there's hardly any streetlights so you have to rely on the limited lighting from your headlamps. If you lose either then you lose the rep that you built to get there. Maybe also like the Carbon canyon race you have the risk of crashing your car through a barrier (often seen on the touge in real life) which instantly totals your car. Each bosozoku gang has different styles of cars- you could have a kaido gang, a US muscle car gang, a supercar gang etc.
    • Online- make it so you can build your own gang. Would be cool if you all had to have similar coloured cars like the Japanese drift teams you see. A cool idea would be to make the online lobby a car show that you go to in game.
    • Cops- have your heat directly linked to your overall rep. If you had a night where you won loads of rep then the next day your heat is automatically high because the cops would be searching for you afterwards.
    • DLC- I kinda liked the basic idea of the Heat DLC where you're given a stock car and have to do challenges to get mods. 1st DLC- officially licensed Initial D. You get given a totally stock Corolla. You then have to complete certain missions/tasks and maybe some tofu-themed time trials around the busy city and earn mods. Add eurobeat songs to the soundtrack too lol. 2nd DLC - similar to Heat you go to the port where a classic Porsche 911 has been imported from Europe. You do missions and as a reward you unlock parts of a Rauh Welt kit

    Is it worth it to buy a Logitech g29 and NFS Payback? I heard a review where the turning was really bad in that game but the review was in 2018. My birthday is coming up and I was hoping to buy a g29 and a racing game. Thanks in advance

    I don't think anybody cares about this game really anymore because it was made in 2012 but now that I'm back on PS3 and playing multiplayer on an old game holy f****** s*** how has instant take down not been fixed in 8 years. What's the point of using a more powerful vehicle or even something like the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor if you can get taken down by a damn racing buggy like it's nothing just because a perc is activated and it isn't even fair because the top speed of the slower cars don't make up for getting one shot even with the unlimited nitrous perk. Why ever even use a slower, tougher car why not just use the fastest car and use instant take down one mean what the heck. For the love of God Need for Speed please don't add anything else like this to a future (2020-) game ever again.

    Does anyone have an crew on nfs heat? (PS4)

    I've earned every trophy in the game except reach lvl 50 with a crew...my friends just don't play and it bothers me. Can I join someone's crew who's already level 50 and get the achievement? Or does it not work that way? If not then is anyone really close to 50? I'll help grind our way up and I'll leave right after if you want me too. I really want this platinum trophy.

    NFS prostreet freezing
