    Just bought Need for Speed Heat! I haven’t played a nfs title in over a decade. Anything I should know?

    The only other NFS games I have played were hot pursuit (ps2) and undercover (ps4). I remember thoroughly enjoying both however I was quite young..

    I am only an hour or so into the story, having a great time so far! The story is fun in a cheesy, guilty pleasure, early fast and furious type way. Night mode looks fantastic, I like the short loading times and the seamless transitions to free roam after finishing a race. The pause menu and loading screens look great.

    Soundtrack is pretty ehhh, very 'soundcloud rapperish', map UI is a little annoying with the lack of labels. Collisions feel bizarre, when I am skidding into trees or walls I am expecting to get smacked, but instead I breeze through everything like a fluffy cloud (Not sure if I like this or not.. feels easy but I know I would get annoyed if I kept hitting concrete trees) I don't like how the busted timer starts counting down before you have been stopped, a few times I had an easy getaway but came dangerously close to getting pinged while I was accelerating. I just experienced the absolute BS that is the cop 'electrical override' thing that short circuits your car.. lost me all my hard earned points :(

    Overall though, I am thoroughly enjoying myself. Looking forward to unlocking cars and making them look good. Any tips for a noob?

    NFS Heat has problems, but it is way better than NFS 2015

    Now hear me out, we're all entitled to our own opinions and experiences. I respect if you prefer one game over the other. However, there are some objective aspects that cannot be ignored, from both Heat and 2015.

    I played Heat before NFS 2015, past month or so. I loved it. I subbed to this sub and to other 2 subs related to the game. I got the platinum and got first place in all of the crew/friends time trials leaderboards. It does have a problem with some of the physics (flying around after hitting a curb), vehicle balancing (SRS, Evo 9 and RX7 are the only cars you ever need in the whole game), and how short the story is. But the world in it is gorgeous, the system of getting cash and Rep during day and night is interesting, the cops are challenging, the stakes are high, the handling is arcade-ish enough, and there's a bunch of different modes (not a lot, but still).

    Browsing here for a while, I noticed people seem to praise a lot Payback and The Run, which I've never played (sorry lol), and NFS 2015 even more. I've seen so many people praising 2015 that I've read multiple times how it is 'a thousand times better than Heat'. I got it on sale for $6 a few days ago because of the hype, thinking it was gonna be great. Boy, I was in for a surprise.

    My first impression was that the characters are promising (in a fun way), there's a lot of modes, the graphics are somehow on par or even better than Heat, and the 'always online' thing was kind of interesting. However, simply put, the handling is trash. I went to watch online 'tutorials' on the drifting, and what do I find? Dozens of uploaders and commenters talking about the randomness of the drifting, and the horrible understeering of "grip" cars. Also, I got this annoying bug of being trapped in a wrecking animation loop (apparently it is an old bug that never got fixed). A racing game with horrible handling, no matter how good other things are, is horribly off putting. I was considering uninstalling it, being honest with y'all. I've played racing simulators with easier handling than this 'arcade racing' game.

    In my opinion, Heat is seriously underrated in this sub, and I have a feeling we will be reading a lot of 'Remember Heat? It was the best NFS of the decade' when the next 3 NFSs come out. NFS 2015 is not a bad game, but I feel tricked by the horrible circlejerking that happens in here over that game.

    Hey, Me and my friend have recently started playing NFS (lv24).

    Imma be honest, I'm looking for a fun but fast car that isn't a late game super car or the RSR. Up until now I've mostly been using the Lotus but it feels like I'm not getting much power out of it even with the flat 6 swap, my friend has been smoking me with the Evo recently and I'm wondering if there are any other cars out there that are fun to drive without being "OP"

    I've been looking around on previous posts but there barely are any suggestions beside the RSR and Regera, with the occasional Ford Focus.

    I'd appreciate any help I can get!

    NFS 2016 not working/launching correctly, help?

    So I have been playing since release on ps4 and decided to get it on pc today. I paid 20$ and cannot run the game. As soon as I start it the origin launcher pops up, I click play, then BOOM. Black screen. But before the black screen a Need For Speed Windowed tab opens up that's also blacked out. You cant see the cursor and you cant hear audio. I tried running as administrator and other things then when I tried changing compatibility settings (I'm on windows 10) it worked! For 5 seconds and I saw thos sweet neon green lights then it froze and glitched out. I have to sign out of my pc to be able to get back on my desktop because when it blocks out in fullscreen I cant to anything, when I alt tab 3/4 of the screen is white and a peice of it is black I cant do anything. I've tried so many things idk what to do. I've repaired it in origin and deleted and redownload but I cant do anything. Any help?

    Please I just want to max my BRZ Out again.
