    So I grew up playing Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) and Carbon on the Play Station 2. Fast forward to modern day, I'm an xbox player. I've avoided Need For Speed, hearing bad things about the newer games. Then Heat releases, everything I hear, is all good stuff and how it's a return to the glory days. So, on Friday, I finally got Heat, the deluxe edition since it was on sale and cheaper than the base game. Now, I've looked here, at this subreddit, and learn that this amazing game is no longer being supported.

    It just makes no sense, from a business standpoint, the put an end to a game, and even the developer studio behind it, that has managed to bring an entire game franchise back into the world of the living, that managed to get people to talk about the franchise again and not just because of bad games or nostalgia. If anything, shouldn't you let that dev team keep working on said game or game franchise? If you do decide to change the dev studio, why not go back to EA Canada or EA Black Box, who were behind the old games, and some of the most notible games? Yeah, Criterion has a proven track record with racing games, but their only 2 NFS games were Hot Pursuit (2010, which somehow got a movie, but that's just me not liking that game) and Most Wanted (2012), which honestly, would have done better if it had a different name. Yes, Criterion has a proven track record, but so do the old EA studios. So, from a business standpoint, if switching is somehow a good idea, why Criterion and not Black Box or EA Canada? As I stated earlier though, why not just let Ghost do their thing?
