The Run to me was almost the perfect modern NFS.
What do I do?
So guys, apparently this is a thing on Steam. I don't know if I'm literally 1000 years late in noticing this or I'm the first one to actually notice it but this is from MW 5-1-0(I think it's that game at least), as a Steam Card for MW 2012. Why was this chosen as a Steam card image even I wonder...

New PVP and Wrap Contests Available On The NFS Discord Server!

Hi all,

Most of you have probably heard that the r/needforspeed Discord Server (https://discord.gg/NeedForSpeed) is under new ownership by /u/ConverseFox and has hired numerous new moderators.

As part of an initiative to make it an active and friendly NFS community year-round, we've added weekly community events to the mix as follows:

NFS ARENA (Tournament-Style PVP):

If you're feeling the Need for Speed and want to test your mettle against other NFS Discord members, then this competition is for you.
Every week you'll have the chance to set your fastest times on courses all around Palm City (and starting soon, Seacrest County too)

WRAP OF THE WEEK (WOTW) - SEASON 2:

Everyone's favorite wrap contest is back! Every week you'll have the opportunity to submit your best wraps for a given theme. If style's your thing, this is the place to be!
This operates similarly to the now-defunct weekly Reddit contest.

Be sure to check out both of these new weekly community events over at the NFS Discord at https://discord.gg/NeedForSpeed. The server also hosts an active community of NFS gamers, so you're always bound to find someone with similar interests to you there!

Besides NFS discussions, there are also places to post your in-game screenshots, follow up-to-date News and Rumours, and even chat about things outside of gaming. EA Staff including Max Myrus (Max / Joker) also have a presence there.

Unlike most modern needs for speed games, the run was the most difficult to race in.

It had everything what I wanted in terms of driving and playing:

The struggle to handle your car, not those drifting models, you usually drift because of overstreer in the run, and turning my joystick to the left or right was damaging. The drifting was difficult.

Great damage models, the sound effects of crashing and collision is just satisfying.

Tire screech

Crash Cams, maybe a bit too long to respawn, but the crash cams was perfect.

Difficult Boss, Garrett's car was the most difficult. Marcus's not so much.

Difficult AI,

Intense and Dynamic music (changes depending on the situation)

Slightly Difficult Cops, very heavy and difficult to combat

Unexpected traffics, when I switch my lane, there's always the unexpected truck or sedan or suv

The avalanche race,

The mobs and choppers.

Time trial: If you do it in extreme, you'd usually have just a second left.

What it missed:

Story, too short, we only know the background and why they are in the race, never experiencing it screentime.

Glitches

Rev Lag.

Human CGI not so great.

No free roam

Customization

Multiplayer Lag. They're teleporting.

I can't select races on a certain stage, I have to play it until I get there.

It had such potential, I hope we'll get to see another NFS that is an improved version of The Run's models.

Drifting Place

I wanted to get back in NFS Heat and practice some drifting, but I couldn't figure out a good place because I don't much care for the shipyard, so I was wondering if anybody had any good recommendations as to a place to practice drifting, (preferably just a stretch of road to go back and forth on).

Hello there,

just redownloaded Redux for MW since I killed my last verion.

When I drive over ~95 kmh everything gets very blury how to remove that?

Oh and redux v2 added some shitty npc cars how to remove them?
