How Good Or Bad Is This Livery?

Do you think NFS 2021 will bring back most of the cars Ghost made for their era of games?

    Posted: 13 Dec 2020 07:18 AM PST

I'm talking about cars like the Volvo 242, for example. I think it'd be efficient to re-use these assets, but that said, I wouldn't mind if some bodykits/parts were swapped out with more aesthetic options, as I think some of the made-for-game body parts are hit-or-miss. I also hope that any body parts designed by Khyzyl Saleem will be marked accordingly in-game, if they return, as well as the actual K.S. cars - including the scrapped ones that were datamined in Heat.

I also think it could be likely that the Toyotas that Ghost rendered could return, like the Supra A80 and the AE86, though I don't think the 86 is necessary (nor the Scion FR-S) when we already have the Subaru BRZ. I'd personally like to see the Supra A90 get added, even if the new BMW Z4 appears alongside it, if only because the new A90 already has tons of real-world bodykits by various tuners - such as Sard - that could be great aesthetic options for the A90 if it's added. I also wouldn't mind at least one or two other, older Toyota models, like an MR2 or the final generation of the Celica. Of course, I'd really like to see more real-world bodykits, and I hope they wouldn't be too expensive to license. I'd also like visual customization to do something beyond just looking good, too, like maybe it could attract the police a bit more, or perhaps be a visual indication of a certain sort of tune, not unlike how the Super Builds in Payback are a way to reflect which class you've picked for the scrapped cars.

I ...I can't remap my shifting in NFS heat?

    Posted: 13 Dec 2020 12:40 PM PST

So every single racing game I have ever played has either had shifting defaulted to b and x or atleast had several default layouts that did it...but noooo. Not heat. It's going to be the only damn game I have that forces me to shift with lb and rb. The mess about it all is that you actually use the rb quite a bit for selecting random crap like entering a race. why?! another gripe: I feel like I'm 9 years old playing a game from 1999- if you select reverse then hit gas....it goes to first gear. wow

I know it's such a small thing, but that's why it's so fucking annoying because it's so small and easy to implement but for fuck all reason, they decided not to. Maybe this stuff is the reason why their games drop to 15-20 bucks after 45 days.

    Yeah. Uninstall.

I Have Never Played NFSMW '05 (It's Painful)

    Posted: 13 Dec 2020 12:12 PM PST

    TL;DR: (read last paragraph)

This sounds crazy, a person on the NFS sub that hasn't played the legendary NFSMW? Back when I was first into car games as a kid, I was too young to really play such games. Not that it was inappropriate, it just wasn't easy for a young kid like me.

I did however play NFS Carbon a few years after its release, and enjoyed it although I found it quite difficult and never completed it due to my age probably. I only remember a few pictures in my head but it was fun nonetheless.

I have also played NFS Hot Pursuit but got bored quickly, not because it was bad, I simply was no longer into car games.

Now being much older I am back into car games, and have progressed quite far through the new NFS Heat, and have noticed I learn a lot faster and am more skilled, in addition to loving it. I have also rediscovered gameplay of NFS Carbon on YT from my childhood which brings back a few tiny memories.

So with my interest in car games reborn, and being older (which helps a lot), should I play NFSMW '05? I hear its the best of the entire series, even better than NFS Carbon of my old days. Being older I will also remember this game a lot more clearly in my head to look back on. The only truly painful thing, is I will NEVER feel the nostalgia of playing this game back in the old days that thousands of others feel. Doesn't stop me from possibly playing it now though.

The srt8 challenger is hard to understand. It's not trash.

    Posted: 13 Dec 2020 09:29 AM PST

When I used it for the first time, I was cussing at this car a whole lot. I used it more and more, to be honest, it's really amazing! It's a car that likes to go on straightaways and it hates to turn. Same with the mustang, I love the srt8 challenger, it even looks really cool. It's very dependent on It's build as well.

    This is heat btw.

    Getting Cinematic Tools to run

    Posted: 13 Dec 2020 05:22 AM PST

So I can't start the cinematic Tool for NFS 2015 properly. I always get a message that the Visual C++ Redistributable 2017 is missing. Now I installed it but it wants me to uninstall the 2015-2019 version. If I do that I can't start any programs anymore/some important DLL files for windows go missing/get deleted. Is there a solution for this ?

    So I'm new to NFS...

    Posted: 12 Dec 2020 08:59 PM PST

So I'm new to the NFS franchise. I've played other classic racing franchises like Midnight Club and Burnout but I never really got into NFS (go ahead and give me heat all you want). Anyway, I decided to play Underground 2 (aka the fan favorite) on my PS2 and currently am enjoying it. Just wanted to make this post to half let people know and to also get advice and whatnot. Thanks

    Regarding content in NFS HPR

    Posted: 12 Dec 2020 08:24 PM PST

So in terms of new cars/modes/things to do, is what we have right now all we're going to be getting? I have no opposition with so, I'm just curious if we'll be getting new cars or online modes occasionally during the year span of HPR.
